He joined the show as the hub presenter in the early morning show,previously fronted by Coleen Nolan.
Alongside main presenters Stephen Mulhern and Matt Johnson he will going to present the segment over the summer.
Egan told The Sun: "I've always enjoyed This Morning, so I was delighted when I got a call to be part of the team.
"The Hub is such a great way to interact with viewers discussing different topics - some serious and some light-hearted."
